# How to customize email templates and use short codes

# How to customize emails templates

The template is highly customizable with a variety of tools. Ayotree created a default template to display what a typical email looks like as a starting point.

The customized templates contains 4 main sections. 

* Enrollment
* Invoice
* Emails
* Assessment (optional)

You can go to each section and edit the templates or add a new one. The templates contains short codes, which will pull specific information based on the short code.

For example, if you go into the enrollment contract default template, you will see short codes (ex. {{Owner_Name}}. These codes will pull specific information into the contract. In this case, the owner's name short code will pull the specific student's name.


**Short Codes**

Example

Student Name: {{OWNER_NAME}}
Address: {{OWNER_ADDRESS}}
Phone: {{OWNER_PHONE}}
Email: {{OWNER_EMAIL}}



These codes will retrieve specific information to the student and reflect it on the template.
