How to create a placement test

The placement test is usually given to a student entering an educational institution to determine the current level of skills and knowledge. This information determines the most appropriate courses for your enrollment.

1. Add a placement test

• Go to Tool > Placement Test and
• Click the button +Add a new Placement Test

2. Placement test description

• Enter the title of placement Test and Description
• Click Save. You can also set a time for your test.

3. Add questions

• Click on the “+Add questions” button to add the questions.
• You can also upload the YouTube Video and picture in each question to make your placement test is more effective and lively.

There are many answer types:

• Multiple Choice
• Exact Word/Phrase: Fill in the correct word so the system can score the answer.
• Short Answer
• Essay
• Multiple Q&A: It is used for general questions such as a video or a photo and then the administrator will create some small questions regarding videos and photos.
• Yes/No Questions
• Upload an image
• Fill in the Blank: Please remember to add the shortcode {{LINE}} in your question.
• Example: What {{LINE}} your name?

4. Activate placement test

After the admin has created the placement test, please go to the Placement Test List page to activate the option and finish your settings so that the Placement Test will show up in student account. It allows you to set the Placement Test for each campus.

5. Placement test student view

Now when students log in, they can see the Placement Test and finish it.

6. Placement test report

You can check the report on the list of Placement Test Results；

Go to Report > Assessment > Placement Test Results. It will also show the result in Student Profiles.
